On Thursday, July 20, nearly 300 guests gathered on the shores of Somes Sound for the "Bash at the Boatyard," a fundraiser to support the constantly growing slate of year 'round programs, events, and celebrations at The Neighborhood House.

Special thanks to our amazing group of sponsors for their continued support and generosity.
The transformation begins...
When the doors opened at 6:00, the silent auction was ready to go...
A wide array of amazing items thanks to the generosity found throughout our community...
Our volunteer florist added a nice touch to the tables...
A custom made rowboat built and generously provided by Bob Robertson was just one of the fantastic items included in the silent auction portion of the evening.
The "Welcome Wagon"...
Shortly after six, the crowd began to gather...
Strike up the band! We're so lucky to have a tremendous music program at our local high school, and especially appreciative that they're willing to share their skills throughout the year...
We put in a phone call, and thankfully the midday showers gave way to a beautiful evening sky over Somes Sound. Special thanks to Frank and the gang at Abel's Yacht Yard for all of their help and providing such an amazing venue.
Two of our favorite gals taking a break from perusing the silent auction for a photo op...
The large boat bay plus tent from Wallace Events gave a crowd of nearly 300 plenty of room to socialize...
Kristina and Meghan were two of the nearly 300 guests who turned out to show their support for The Neighborhood House!
As the sun began to set, the party was just starting up...
Once again, thank you to the talented musicians from MDIHS for adding to the evening...
One of the highlights of this fun filled and laid back evening was definitely the amazing offerings by our friends from Bar Harbor Catering Company...
Service with a smile! Board member, event sponsor, and wildlife enthusiast, George Grohs, helped guests load up their auction bounties...
Three of the numerous Board members and volunteers who have been "on board" with the Bash at the Boatyard since planning got underway early last winter. THANK YOU!
The sun sets on another fantastic event...

It was a great evening and we want to give a sincere THANK YOU to our sponsors, the amazingly generous donors to our auction, our top-notch crew of volunteers, and of course, all of you who were kind enough to attend and show your support for The Neighborhood House. Block off your calendar for next July... info coming soon!

And don't forget to join us at our next celebration...
