Let’s be clear about something. God is love and passionately lavishes His love on us in order save every human on earth if they turn to Jesus in trust. However, flowing from this same heart of infinite love is justice for the oppressed, marginalized, immigrant, poor, violated, children harmed in any manner or any of the most vulnerable of society. He stands with them and for them precisely because He is love. Therefore, much of the wrongs we are seeing in society today, even at the highest levels, that causes harm to the vulnerable, invites the justice of God.
Any honest reading of Scripture’s unfolding story from Genesis to Revelation makes this vividly clear. What may appear as His delayed execution of justice is His aching heart of mercy, pleading with the proud, hard-hearted and oppressive sinner to REPENT, to turn to Him before it’s too late! I say there is often an “apparent delay” because He is present, active and “on the ground” in real time, working behind the scenes, bringing about justice, righting wrongs, though not yet the full measure of His judgment. It may not seem like it sometimes, but He is doing something right now!
God the Father said to His resurrected and highly exalted Son King Jesus, the sovereign Ruler of the earth, that He is to sit at His righthand until He makes His enemies His footstool. This is happening now, until fully realize at the return of the King. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.

In an effort to reduce the change of an accident, we are changing the traffic pattern for entering and exiting the church. We are asking everyone to enter from the road that passes the awning (closest to the Vienna SDA Church sign) and exit by the Vienna SDA Academy. Pathfinder Bible Experience
The Pathfinder Bible Experience is the Official North American Division Pathfinder Bible study program. Some affectionately call the program Bible Bowl. Each year, teams of six club members study a book of the Bible (alternating Old Testament and New Testament), memorizing large portions of God's word.
There are four levels of competition - Area, Conference, Union, and Division. The Pathfinders are tested over the assigned study books as well as the SDA Bible Commentary Introduction to each study book.
At each level, the teams scoring 90% or higher of the highest score at their testing site make 1st place and are invited to go on to the next level. The winning teams are extreme students of the Bible and in most cases memorize chapters and, in some cases, the entire book(s). Winning teams incorporate the Total Church Involvement approach. This means they have study coaches involving the church elders and other members of the local church. They assist in making up sample tests and generating friendly competition against the elders to see who has the better student of the Bible. It also means developing worships made up of talks from subject matter from the assigned study book(s). The students may also perform dramas depicting some of the Biblical stories from their assigned study book.
The date for the 2020 NAD PBE Division Finals is April 17-18, 2020. The location for the North American Division Pathfinder Bible Experience Level will be held at the Oregon State Fair complex in Salem, Oregon.

Vienna Stars Pathfinder Club PBE
On January 25, the Vienna Stars Pathfinder Club held its Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) dedication and testing at church. All the team participants received 1st place! Congratulations!
Throughout the Potomac conference, the Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) is an extra-curricular activity that introduces Pathfinders to Bible study through trivia-style testing. Each year a book or books are assigned for study and then Pathfinders are tested in three different levels of testing to advance on to the final round of testing along with other teams from the North American Division. While PBE may be perceived as a competition, Pathfinders are challenging themselves more than they are competing against other teams or clubs because everyone has an equal opportunity to achieve a first-place position at every level.
