JOIN THE FIREMEN "Monday burn Millay, Wednesday Whitman, Friday Falkner, Burn 'em to ashes, then burn the ashes"

In the modern age, you see constant activity. Cars going faster and faster, the parlor giving everyone the information they need to live. And then, there is the minority, who insists on stopping to smell the roses, something the future has no time for. They impede progress by walking slowly and reading books, books of all things! It is up to us to stop them, save the future, join the Firemen!

One of the pillars of our organization, the mighty Phoenix.

The proud Firemen was founded long ago, at our country's birth, by the great Benjamin Franklin. He saw the quick progress our nation was making, and ruled that the book was an obstacle to modernization and the future itself.

"What traitors books can be! You think they’re backing you up, and then they turn on you. Others can use them, too, and there you are, lost in the middle of the moor, in a great welter of nouns and verbs and adjectives." -Fireman Captain Beatty

Books give no benefit to anyone, they merely banks of useless words which can be easily remembered. Any book is offensive to someone, so it is easier to eliminate the problem entirely.

This is where you come in, you bring justice to our nation and preserve happiness for all our citizens. If anyone is in possession of a book, they are to be arrested and their house burned down to the ground, the books included. Remember, you are doing a service to society, and it is your duty as a member of our country to preserve our way of life.

Wield the might of the vicious flame to uphold the way of the law and the will of the people. It is up to you, now.
