Michael Anthony Lockey grew up in Dorchester MA. Born on 10-18-1989, Mikeanthonni grew up listening to Tyrese, Michael Jackson, and Anthony Hamilton. He loved boy bands such as Temptations. Mikeanthonni went to East Boston High, later on attended curry college. In elementary school he noticed he had a good ear for music, he played the violin, and drums he even got into break dancing. Mikeanthonni played sports such as basketball, football and lacrosse.
Growing up with local boy bands such as 24/7 inspired him to get into his 1st boy band called "Sky Is the Limit" like most bands they went separate ways. Mikeanthonni got into few more bands such as "Avenue" managed by Terry Walker. His music career started doing really well when he formed his first duo "Next Step". The duo dropped their first mixtape "Love Potion" in 2009, the following year they dropped their first music video "Venus Vs Mars". The video got a lot of coverage and did really well, New England Hip Hop featured their success.
When the duo parted ways in 2012 Mikeanthonii decided to focus on his solo career. His first mixtape funded by himself "Thoughts of a Libra" was released on July 24 2013. This mixtape is a gift to his parents both born on July 24th. Past success with bands helped the mixtape be just another success.
Now Mikeanthonni is focused on coming back stronger and better, revamp himself, he released a single in November 2015 "Still Here". Mikeanthonni uses social media as a way to connect with his fan and let them in so they can relate. Mikeanthonni is a very diverse yet unique artist. He can add his r&b twist to any type of music such as hip hop, pop. Over the years he learned how to use his voice as an instrument of its own. One of the thing that keeps him going is when his fan say "Yo that song hits home". Music is his passion and his fan inspire him although his number one inspiration is his late Grandmother.
Mikeanthonni's ultimate goal is to be in the music in the music as a singer, writer, and producer. He wants to help his family by doing what he is passionate about. He later on wants to start a boys home for at risk youth. He feels the need to empower young men so that they can empower the young women. His favorite saying is "Practice Makes Permanent" and "jump" by Steve Harvey.
