"While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world" John 9:5

A metaphor is when someone states that a person, place, animal or thing is something else. a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.

Fire work Katy Perry

In the song “Firework,” preformed by Katy Perry, a metaphor is used. “Cause baby your a firework.” She is saying that a person is a firework and we all know that a firework is a explosion of fire and color and a human is well not that. Fireworks and humans are not the same but what she is trying to say is that you should show your true colors and make yourself shine. I think song writers use metaphors in songs because it takes a long explanation of something and makes to where it can fit in a 3 minute song.

Titanium David Guetta

I am titanium, You shoot me down but I won't fall, I am titanium. Titanium is the strongest medal.

Waterfalls TLC

"Don't go chasing waterfalls, please stick to the rivers and lakes that your used to" The metaphors in TLC waterfalls are saying don't just go for the pretty things in life because sometimes you don't know your way around and could be dangerous

God Poem

God makes me feel wiser, in days of loathe and envy I look to you oh God. Courageous and caring God comfort me through my days of sorrow and despair. Dazzling and diligent God dabble me with your holy water in my audacious times. Heroic and Harmonic God Help me to get over my Heart stopping hours
