Artist Statement

Photography is my creative vision. When I think of photography I see the opportunity to grab a camera and just take photos of whatever is around me. To not think too hard about what I should do but just do it. I like to think of it as making your own unique and creative ideas. Photography is an idea you use it to make those ideas and thoughts come alive. I love photography because of the process behind it. It makes me feel like a different person more unique and outgoing. Photography is my vision!

This photo was taken in downtown Portland. When walking looking for photo ideas, I saw the lights on this Portland sign and i thought it would make a good photo because of the dark contrast and exposure. ISO 400, 20mm, f/4.0, 1/100sec
This photo of the water tower was taken at Fair View Center(Abandon Insane Asylum). I saw this water tower and I thought it stood out more then anything throughout the asylum and I wanted to capture it with my camera. This water tower had such great contrast, Then the lighting that day was perfect. ISO 3200, 18mm, f/4.0, 1/4000sec
I took this photo in the open field of my neighborhood. I had my girl just go stand out in the middle of the field and I captured that because that idea came to my head so I went out and took it. The lighting and mood that day was just perfect so it was my idea to just go out and take it. ISO 800, 23mm, f/3.5, 1/800sec
I took this photo trying to adjust my focus. But i saw the how this blurry affect really made the lights look cool so I decided to use that as my photo instead and capture that. When do that i realized the contrast and highlights of this photo really stand out so does the saturation cause of all the colors drawing attention to the eye. ISO 100, 37mm, f/4.0, 1/100sec
