LUNAR ECLIPSE

A lunar eclipse is when the moon appears darkened as it passes into the earths shadow. The next one will be on Feb 11th 2017.

SOLAR ECLPSE

A Solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the sun and earth and the moon fully or partially blocks the sun. The next one occurs on August 21st 2017.

Penumbra Eclipse

Is a Lunar Eclipse hat occurs when the moon becomes completely immersed in the penumbral cone of the earth without touching the umbra. It is a narrow path for the umbra.

UMBRA ECLIPSE

A Umbra Eclipse is the darkest part of the shadowed moon.

Suns Corona

The corona is the ring of light around the moon during a total solar eclipse.
