Days For Girls Robin and Stephanie

Mother and Daughter team, Robin and Stephanie, contribute their spare time to putting together sanitary kits for the organization Days for Girls . These kits allow girls to stay in school instead of missing valuable school days to manage their monthly cycles.

Robin and Stephanie assemble hygiene kits by hand in their sewing room.

While Days for Girls is a secular organization, many churches participate, and Robin was moved to participate in this program due to a short term mission trip to Kenya . When she returned to the States, she looked for a way that she could contribute to the efforts that are already being made in Kenya to alleviate poverty and suffering. Once she found Days for Girls, she persuaded her daughter, Stephanie, to join her.

Supplies and workspace are ready to go.

When I asked Robin if she would be doing this apart from her faith, she told me that without the mission work being done in Nairobi, she would have been unaware of the need. She also said that she is able to greatly expedite the shipping process because the organizers of Africa Fire Mission share shipping container space with her. This is just one example of the Body of Christ reaching across international borders to change the world.
