Clients are reporting a reduction in pain because their pet is much more comfortable once they’ve been on VIZOOVET a couple days. It’s expected. Studies on both human and veterinary attribute the pain reduction on the eye to dropping the osmolarity of tear film to normal levels in KCS patients. The relief is pretty rapid. It also normalizes the environment of the eye in many cases and the antibiotics , steroids and pain meds can be stopped or reduced. In the animals that nothing is working on anymore, “exhausted eye” they call it in France have a real good chance of positive effects.

Commonly Used Drugs. A brief description is listed with each

Next, we could go through the side effects, contraindications and warnings on these commonly used eye treatments. VIZOOVET exerts it's effects by normalizing the osmolarity of the tear film decreasing the pain and inflammation and restoring the natural defenses of the eye. Let me know if you want copies of those studies. Not saying there's not a place for these drugs but there's many cases where VIZOOVET is a better alternative, especially when these drugs are not having any more beneficial results.

A small percentage of animals with moderate to severe KCS respond to Cyclosporin and or Tacrolimis. Immunosuppressive drugs. Necessary when the Schermer test falls below 10 maybe sooner. Some animals do well if their test is a 5 even, most not so much. Some animals go all the way to 0. Trouble since there is no blood supply to the anterior chamber.
