Each packaging is unique, hand-decorated with the gold leaf technique applied with the "Missione”(special glue).
Missione is a special compound used to apply gilding to small parts: it was a technique used mainly in the eighteenth century, to embellish small portions of paintings.
Gilding is a process of ornamental decoration used on different materials and with various techniques to embellish an object by the addition of a thin layer of gold, called "gold leaf". Rarely are used substitutes for gold, such as alloys that simulate gold, silver or copper color.
Its main uses are in the production of valuable volumes for bibliofil, in the decoration of luxury furniture and art.
Gilding was a widespread technique in art and medieval architecture, especially in Byzantine and Renaissance, where the golden leaf was used in paintings on a wooden board to enhance the visual effect of the hailstones of the saints, or the shining of the sun: the unattability of gold corrosion has allowed these boards to come to this day with unchanged splendor.
