Fall is in the air. It's crisp outside and the calendar is heading toward the holiday season. This is the time of year I enjoy being in the kitchen the most. So let's fire up the oven and do some baking!
This simple shortbread is so easy! There is no need to pull out a heavy stand mixer or wrestle with complicated baking tools. Simply whisk your ingredients together, press them into the pan & bake. Just like that! Today I was lucky enough to cook in the Samsung kitchen at Gerhard's Appliances of Ardmore. I say lucky enough because Samsung's new 30" Wall Oven was a delight to use! With wifi connectivity, dual convection & easy glide racks, Samsung's wall oven made this easy recipe a no brainer!
Start with 2 and a half cups of flour and a half cup of white sugar. Whisk them together and add 2 sticks of cubed butter. Use your hands to form a crumbly batter that resembles sand. Press your mixture into a greased 9 by 13 inch pan and bake for 25 mins. Simple, delicious and ready in no time flat!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar (plus more for sprinkling)
1 cup butter (cold and cut into cubes)
