VIETNAM Diaries Hanoi and Ha long Bay

Hoan Kiem Lake which means "Lake of the restored sword"

You arrive at the beautiful capital city of Vietnam- Hanoi on a Sunday and are welcomed by the Hoan Kiem Lake. The lake looks absolutely gorgeous in the evening. The entry of the vehicles is restricted on weekends so you can walk around the lake and enjoy the nice hustle-bustle of the city.

Enroute Perfume Pagoda- A Buddhist Temple inside a cave amidst limestone formations.
You gotta hike up till here to reach the cave!
The views inside are majestic and exude surreal calm!

Traditional Vietnamese spring rolls and Bun cha! Well and the very famous Egg Coffee!
Ha Long Bay which literally means 'descending dragon bay' is a UNESCO World Heritage site most popular for its thousands of limestone islets.
The best way to explore the bay is to do a 1N 2 D cruise which includes activities like Kayaking, Fishing, Vietnamese cooking, meals on board and lots of fun!
View from the room on board.
And yes you can take a lot of pictures on the sun-deck!
Watch the sunrise and sunset as you sail through the bay!
Explore limestone caves!

Vietnam seemed to be a place relatively less explored by Indians( I hardly spotted any unlike Thailand and Malaysia :)) of course most tourists are Americans. A place which is full of culture, history and natural beauty. Well it will make you will feel rich, we paid in millions ..almost always! in Vietnamese Dong of course! :)
