Parent Newsletter OCToBER 2020

Hello Parents!

We are full swing into the fall season at River Valley YTH! Last month we dove straight in with a FAITH-filled series called "God is Able" and we witnessed God do miraculous things!! We are not slowing down as we move into October, check out what we have coming up!

We are starting a brand new series called 'Haunted Heart' where we will be confronting mindsets, emotions and strongholds that if left unchecked, can haunt the heart. Scripture tells us that we are to guard our hearts with diligence because everything we do flows from it. If we are careful to watch over our heart, it will be a wellspring of life but if we are sloppy in guarding our hearts, our wellspring can become muddy, murky and polluted. We will be discussing key issues that plague the human heart: pride, anxiety, depression & insecurity. Our desire is that students would learn how to identify areas of their hearts that need more of Jesus & invite them to continually surrender to the One who cleanses us, sustains us, empowers us and equips us to live set apart.

Due to the COVID-19 MN max capacity guidelines of 250 people per room we are adjusting our plans for MYC2020. This year, we will be hosting a MYC One Day event at our Apple Valley campus! We believe that October 16th, 2020 is going to be a pivotal day for our students and youth ministry. Many of our students will need to be refreshed from all that they have walked through this year. We are poised to see God move in a FRESH way in our students at MYC2020! At this event, there will be two sessions and we are excited to announce that guest speaker, JJ Vasquez, will be joining us this year with a powerful word!

Registration will close on Wednesday, October 7th at 11:59PM.

Join us on Wednesday October 28th for our annual October Show Up Night. We will be wrapping up our Haunted Heart series with a message that you will not want to miss! Bring your friends, come dressed up (in a church appropriate costume), and get ready for an unforgettable & impactful night with your YTH FAM!

YTH Covid-19 Protocol

We have carefully crafted a plan and implemented training that honors the guidelines of our state to the best of our ability. We are complying with the Governor’s mask mandate order but we are not policing it. There are several protected reasons some cannot wear masks and it is not our job to invade their privacy.
