MORE INFORMATION:

The event is organized in collaboration with The Peace and Freedom Committee, whose purpose is to bring awareness of the National Holiday Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Marion, OH and the surrounding communities. To recognize this holiday is not just a day of non-production, but to reflect and honor the true meaning of Dr. King’s legacy while remembering the strength and courage of those who struggled before us. The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration is one of peace, love, unity, and equal opportunity for all people. It gives the participating youth an opportunity to express their voice, thoughts, and vision of what Dr. King’s values means to them. This year’s theme of the celebration is “The Fierce Urgency Of Now: Building Bridges of Justice, Equality, and Unity.”
