Welcome to the September edition of the Tampa Bay Sports Commission E-News Bulletin. This edition features a look back at the official launch of the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee, as well as a special highlight reel in anticipation of WrestleMania 36 in April 2020. Tailgate Taste Fest announced its musical talent in anticipation of its annual event on October 5 and USF Football celebrates Tampa Bay Day with a special offer for our community. This segment also features a full list of upcoming Event Development Institute programming and how the College Football Playoff Foundation is still impacting area students.
Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee Kickoff Event
On September 4, the Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee officially kicked off locally by unveiling the host committee logo as well as providing critical updates from local leadership and other key dignitaries in a press conference at Raymond James Stadium.
Aside from the logo, the press conference announced the public launch of TampaBayLV.com, a landing page for interested community ambassadors that have an interest in future Tampa Bay Super Bowl LV Host Committee volunteer opportunities as well as local business/corporation partnership opportunities.
Tampa Bay's Tailgate Taste Fest Music Announcement, Food Sample Wristbands On-Sale Now!
On Saturday, October 5, join the Tampa Bay community at Tampa Bay's Tailgate Taste Fest at Curtis Hixon Park! This FREE, family-friendly event, features a robust schedule of activities for the casual event-goer and the ultimate sports fan alike. Entertainment consists of a food competition with local restaurants serving up the most delicious tailgate foods Tampa Bay has to offer, a competitive corn hole tournament presented by Moe's Southwest Grill, live action from the day's most exciting college football action on LED video boards and live music!
Tailgate Taste Fest representatives are also excited to announce their music lineup as Soul Circus Cowboys, Southbound75 and Chad Montana Band will entertain guests throughout the evening. Make your plans now to enjoy Tampa Bay’s best tailgate.

Tampa Bay Prepares for WrestleMania 36 at Raymond James Stadium in April
On April 5, 2020, the Tampa Bay area will come together to celebrate WWE WrestleMania 36 at Raymond James Stadium for the first time ever!
WrestleMania is more than just a one-day event; it’s a week-long celebration. In addition to WrestleMania 36, other activities planned include WrestleMania Axxess, WWE’s interactive fan festival, as well as four nights of events; SmackDown® Live; 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony; NXT® TakeOver™ and Monday Night Raw®. WWE will also host more than a dozen community outreach events, including hospital visits and Be a STAR® bullying prevention rallies, designed to give back to the local region.

ACDC Soccer Tournament Set For Tournament SportsPlex of Tampa Bay on October 11-13
Beginning Friday, October 11, the ACDC Soccer Tournament hosted by Tampa Bay United will feature a projected 300 teams at the Tournament SportsPlex of Tampa Bay for three days of action, including a large contingent from out-of-area locations. The ACDC Tournament has been a staple in the Tampa Bay soccer landscape since 2005 and has increased in team attendance over the 15+ years of play.

FCAN Launches Plan It Florida Initiative
The Tampa Bay area kicked off Extra Yard for Teachers Week with some exciting news as the Florida College Access Network unveiled the "Plan It Florida", a college and career planning initiative for area students. Plan It Florida is made possible thanks to the support of Helios Education Foundation and College Football Playoff Foundation. The initiative was developed with the support of the College Ready Florida Steering Committee, which is comprised of college access and career readiness professionals from throughout the state.
Volunteer Opportunities
The goals of the TBSC volunteer program are to provide an enthusiastic and warm welcome to guests visiting the area, provide information to visitors, and contribute to the general atmosphere of excitement surrounding the event.
