The language that they use is Latin. Pax Romana in Latin means ¨Roman Peace¨. Refers to the time period between 27 BCE and 180 BCE.
This 200 year period saw unpredicted peace and economic change throughout the Empire. The Roman Empire reached its peak in the amount of land areas and population.
The period of civil war broke out in Rome. Octavian defeated Lepidus in battle, and then turned his armies against the more powerful Mark Antony.
Laws talked about property, crime, family, theft, marriage, and inheritance. The laws were written down, it didnt matter if they were ¨fair¨. Engraved on tablets of metal and displayed at the forum for all to see. Laws were held in the hands of Rome judges. These laws applied to all people.
