Herman the oldest child was born In 1897 in Chicago. He became the first African American to graduate from the university of Texas. He died in 1983 in los angles. The youngest son was Charlie he was born in 1954 in blue field in West Virginia. He is a comedian. He died 1996 in blue field West Virginia.

Ida B Wells was born July 16,1862 in Holly Springs MS. She was an African American journalist, newspaper editor, sociologist, feminist, georgist, and an early leader in the civil rights movement. She had 3 kids there names where Alfreda, Herman, Charles. She died in March 25,1931 Chicago Illinois.

Ferdinand Barnett is Ida B. Wells husband. He was born February 18, 1852, Nashville, TN. He was an American journalist, lawyer, and civil Rights activist in Chicago Illinois. In 1895 he married anti lynching activists Ida B. Wells. He was the founding editor of the Chicago conservator in 1878. His kids were Charles, Alfeda, and Herman. He died March 11, 1936, south side, Chicago Illinois.

In 1889, Wells helped find a Memphis newspaper, the free speech and headlight. This postage stamp was issued the first of February, 1990.
