The purpose is to emphasize the commitment of school. The picture show my class ring.

Summary

During my shoot I ran into a number of problems and had a few successes. What went well is that I managed to capture a very close shot of my ring with A nice amount of detail in it. Some struggles I had were that I was shooting alone so keeping the lighting, the camera angel, and all the elements in line was a challenge and slightly decreased the quality of my photos.

Environmental Photo

Composition:

  • Iso: 3200
  • Shutter Speed: 1/200
  • Aperture: f/5.6

Extra Info

Taken at a meeting for High School Robotic. Intended to show the huge amount of work we do by showing all the parts of the robot scattered on the workbench as students rush to assemble it.

Summary:

I think the shoot went very well. I was able to use the environment around me to get some good shots and show the work that the students were doing. A few issues I ran into was that I had to use a high ISO due to extremely dark conditions. Also I had a hard time getting a good shot as none of it was staged and they didn't have time to stop for me.

Production Photo

Composition:

  • Iso: 800
  • Shutter Speed: 1/80 sec
  • Aperture: f/7.1

Extra Info:

Photo of an old film camera with a manual shutter for our production assignment.

Summary:

This shoot went fairly well, the use of the photo box helped to make it go very smoothly. The only issue I ran into was that Lightroom would not open for a minute but it fixed itself after a while.

Light Painting Photo

Composition:

  • ISO: 200
  • Shutter Speed: 15.0 sec
  • Aperture: f/ 7.1

Summary:

I had a very hard time with this shoot. I could not take photos anywhere not at my house so I was stuck shooting in a bright environment. Other than that it went well I was able to take the shot well, I was able to paint the light on the majority of the house, It just does not look the best due to the bright environment.

Dramatic Shots

Composition:

  • Iso: 800
  • Shutter Speed: 1/100
  • Aperture: f/ 5.6

Summary:

The goal of the photo was to create a "Sad dog" style, emotional photo. I think the shot went well especially considering I was working with a dog. I think one thing that could improve is that it needs more light in the eyes.

Final Project:

Composition:

  • ISO:
  • Shutter Speed:
  • Aperture:

Extra Info:

A spoof of a Tim Tadder shot of a Baseball player holding his bat towards the camera.

Summary:

The Shoot went ok, the lights I were using to get the effect on the edges of the subject were not as powerful as I was hoping so it did not give me the desired effect. Over all I just needed to use more lighting for the shot.
