The Care and Feeding of ViaWest Employees

Downtime events are opportunities for employees to break away from their normal uptime to have an adventure, interact with each other and give back to the community. This program is specifically designed to support our "Work hard, play hard" culture.


Each region has a Downtime Team that meets once per quarter to plan upcoming events and assess previous events. Anybody in the company can be a part of their local Downtime Team and participate in even more Downtime.

ONE Standard

Events through out the year will focus on Outreach, Nourishment, and Engagement. What more could we need?

  • Outreach: Bringing people and community together in ways they otherwise wouldn't have been able to.
  • Nourishment: When there is a reason to have great food there is a way.
  • Engagement: The business of experiences.

Join the Team

The best way to bring a team together is to put them in fun and sometimes challenging situation, also know as, an adventure! These events connect employees to opportunities to compete, relax, challenge, laugh, and have some fun together.
