We had a visit today from Clifford the Red Dog!
He brought books for the children!
They were so excited!
It's a wonderful thing to see kids excited about taking their own books home!

Make sure to have your students -- as National Volunteer Month approaches -- write about the volunteers and draw an image.



On Monday, April 17, we will have the above organization in to speak to the parents about joining. Big Brother Big Sister is a community mentoring program that matches an adult volunteer, known as a "Big", with a child, known as a "Little". Together the Little and the Big cultivate a friendship that helps the child to have a more positive outlook on life.

As the Georgia Milestone testing approaches for our students, we want to ensure that we are prepared to keep our students relaxed and entertained with activities that reinforce character building and empowerment. Please let us know what activities you have planned for these dates or if you need help with planning a curriculum. The dates for our children are April 18 to May 3.

Can be used instead of: talk about, converse.

Study Skill: Review Bold Faced Words

How to incorporate the study skill: Reading/comprehension and even math assignments often include words in bold. The words in bold are going to be vocabulary words or words of importance. Try to deduct the meaning of words in bold from a textbook.
