EXTERNSHIPS Launching Summer 2017

This summer PISD is partnering with the Plano Mayor's Internship Program and Capital One to pilot the Teacher Externship Program.

The Externship Program will provide PISD teachers with unique Professional Learning Opportunities provided in Collaboration with local partners in business and industry settings.

As an Extern, you will have access to learning that reaches beyond traditional classroom or workshop settings, and engage in experiences that will help you make valuable classroom-to-career connections for your students.

You will be working side-by-side with knowledgeable and skilled industry employees to form a partnership of shared expertise. Teacher Externships provide educators with the exposure to answer questions about real-world application, prepare students for careers they may have in the future, and improve classroom experiences.

Externship hosts invite teachers to spend 2-4 weeks as part of their team and design meaningful experiences and interactions to learn with you.

Wondering how you can be a part of this new learning opportunity?
