Six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan invaded the the U.S. aircraft carriers to occupy Midway Attoll a tiny island nearly half way between Asia and North America. It the home of the U.S. naval air station. On June third the battle of midway started. Air craft launched form Midway Attol flew hundred of miles dropping torpedoes and bombs as they were fighting in the planes most of the time. At the end of the battle Japan lost four aircraft carriers, 250 aircraft and 3000 deaths while the U.S. lost a single aircraft carrier and only 307 deaths it was a victory for the U.S.
