Due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions only Germans can enter Germany from NON-Schengen.

All other nationalities have to be confirmed by the border police first. Schengen/EU nationalities can enter when they are on their way to their home address.

Pax on flights coming from other Schengen countries can enter without any problems.

In Germany, the individual states are responsible for quarantine regulations. After coordination with the Länder and the Federal Government, the cabinet took note of a new specimen regulation. The Länder have issued their own regulations based on this specimen by 8 November 2020.

Because the new specimen regulation contains significant changes, we ask that prior to entering a state you read the regulations on quarantine and testing carefully that apply to your specific destination. By entering the post code of your destination you can find the contact information of your competent local health office using the following Website: In Germany, the individual Länder are responsible for quarantine regulations. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

Also they must be able to present proof of this registration when entering Germany.

If, in exceptional cases, a registration is not possible through the website mentioned above, travellers must instead fill in a substitute registration.

QUARANTINE

If passengers have stayed in a risk area within 14 days prior to entry, they are - apart from the exceptions mentioned below - obliged to go directly to their own home or other suitable accommodation immediately after entry and to stay there permanently for a period of 14 days after entry (quarantine).

EXCEPTIONS

For certain groups of persons there are exceptions from the quarantine and testing obligation according to regional regulations. These include passengers who enter the Federal Republic of Germany only for transit. A negative test result can lead to abrogation of the quarantine according to state regulations.
