Bivalve BLISS in LEIPSIC LEIPSIC OYSTER FESTIVAL 2018

The 2nd Annual Leipsic Oyster Festival celebrated the heritage of Delaware Bay watermen.

Oysters raw and fried were definitely the star of the event, but there was a lot more to the day for visitors.

The turnout was great!

The Leipsic Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary prepared the fried oysters, fish, hamburgers and much more.

Governor Carney came and ate, along with many other politicians and elected and state officials.

Senator Carper also attended the Festival.

The event was family friendly.

Visitors came from near and far to enjoy the Delaware Bay bounty.

The historic oyster boat, Maggie S. Myers, sailed up the Leipsic River to visit for the day.

The Oyster Festival attracted vendors, musicians and exhibits.

See you next year!
