My plan for this project is to expand my YouTube channel and upload as many videos as I can. Making videos is one of my passions. I would also like to expand my knowledge in editing and finding different ways of working the camera. I would like to gain clients and put my skills into practice.

January 27, 2017 | So far I have updated my YouTube channel. I have made a new channel banner, linked my Instagram account, edited video titles, etc. I came up with an idea to collaborate with other YouTubers that are just starting out. I would like to make videos for other people. It would help expand both our channels, and benefit the both of us.

February 4, 2017 | On Wednesday I recorded a new video for my YouTube channel. It was a video of me reacting to videos that my friend I used to make. The video turned out to be thirty minutes long. I have started to edit it. My goal is to make the video to 10 minutes maximum, I think thirty is too long for a reaction video. I expect to finish it by tomorrow (Saturday) and post it that same day.

February 10, 2017 | Editing a thirty minute was difficult, especially because I have to align both videos at the same time. I still have not finished editing the video, but I am half way done. I could not finish it this past week because of homework and personal reasons.

March 3, 2017 | This past week I was not able to make any videos because I was busy with school work and practice during the week. I plan on making a video during practice, which would greatly benefit. I have practice at one in the afternoon, so I will try my best to go out after and record b-roll. I was greatly inspired by Peter Mckinnon who is a photographer and videographer. He gave tips on how to improve your videos and knowing what could grab your audience's attention.

March 17, 2017 | From the feedback I received, I'm going to increase my pace in creating videos. I believe I should keep sharing my content on Instagram, and gain more followers in order to create a new community on another account based on only my videos. Over the spring break I plan to make one more vlog and at least a video for a client.

April 11, 2017 | This week I was contacted by an online business that sells wearable accessories and was asked if was able to make a commercial for them. He had told me that it would greatly benefit his business to give a better visual how his products looks like.

April 14, 2017 | Yesterday I was able to post a video on my Instagram account. I tired out a new intro and transition at the beginning of the video. I received a comment saying, "Good stuff m8," from a friend who is also a videographer. I plan to showcase videos I have worked on from: videos I have made for other people- to videos where I used different assets. I look forward to using a projector to display my videos.

April 22, 2017 | Today my friend asked to help him with his video production project from RCC. We had to record an event/festival that the community was holding. I gained experience in knowing how to setup equipment and how to record such a big event.

April 26, 2017 | I was able to make a short reel (portfolio) of video work I have already done. This would also be used as my main visual for the symposium. It shows what I have done and demonstrates the type of style I have in making videos.

Inspiration

May 3, 2017 | I think I did well during the symposium. I got a lot of feedback and now I know the type of audience I would attract. I also got to interact with other students who also make videos or who are interested in the same things as I.

May 6, 2017 | I had the opportunity to record a video for a friend of mine who does make up. She didn't have to ask me. I always carry my camera with me so I took the opportunity to make a video for her to promote herself and her makeup page on Instagram.

May 20, 2017 | Dream Mindset contacted me in order to do a photo shoot for their new shirts that they are going to sell online. I gladly did them the favor, and we are planning to do a video shoot in the near future.
