Peach Blossom Flower of the day

Delaware declared the Peach Blossom its state flower in 1953.

The Peach Blossom are pale pink with a magenta center. These flowers appear very early, even before the leaves emerge. Peach Blossoms have a mild aroma of honey and almond, and the blossoms have a fruit nectar taste to them. The flower is best used as an edible garnish, steeped as a tea, or even made into jelly! Make sure to pluck the petals from the base of the flower because the rest of the flower can be tough. Fun Fact: Delaware was the original "Peach State" because of its orchards; They contained more that 800,000 peach trees!
