Dwayne Allen-Helping or Harming the Patriots? Did the patriots make the right choice?

Tight end Dwayne Allen has made a total of 19 touchdowns, 126 receptions, and has run 1,451 yards in the 5 seasons he played, but will it be enough?

With Martellus Bennett becoming a free agent, the Patriots needed a new player. They chose Dwayne Allen, previously with the Indiana Colts.

In the same seasons that Dwayne played, Bennett has scored 26 touchdowns, 318 receptions, and ran 4,287 yards.

Bennett is leaving the Patriots

The Patriots traded a 4th round pick for Dwayne Allen and a 6th round Colts pick.

Will Dwayne be useful?

According to Sports Illustrated, “Like Bennett, he can be relied on as a blocker.”

According to ESPN, Bennett is, “Widely viewed as the top tight end available,” so the Patriots need to find the best person they can to replace him.

Dwayne is good, but will he be able to replace Bennett?
