Parent Information

Immunization Exclusion Day- February 19th: Please make sure your student(s) are up to date and in compliance with their immunizations by February 19th. Children that are not complete in their immunizations or do not have the proper certificates for medical or non-medical exemptions will not be allowed to attend school. Once students are up to date with their shots they may return to school.

Art Club: Holly Lanning and Mr. Larson are doing a weekly art club after school on Tuesdays. The cost is $5 for a month, which covers the supplies needed. Payment is due the first week of February. If you are interested, please see or email Mr. Larson for more details.

7th/8th grade: Starting Monday, February 3rd, our 7th and 8th graders will be changing classes first period. If your 8th grader is currently in Woods, they will switch to Agriculture; if they had Agriculture, they switch to Woods. If your 7th grader is currently in Creative Arts, they will be going to Grad Point at the middle school campus; if they had Grad Point, they will be going to Creative Arts at the high school campus.

Box Tops & Coca-Cola Rewards: The middle school collects Box Tops for Education and participates in the Coca-Cola Rewards program for schools. For Box Tops- We can still collect the "clip" ones that say $0.10. However, you can also click on the link below, set up an account, pick Amity Middle School and start scanning your receipts for box tops. For Coca-Cola rewards- if you purchase Coca-Cola products, enter the code on the lid or box by clicking on the link below. You will need to set up an account, and pick Amity Middle School. All money raised from both of these goes back to our field trips, school projects and after school activities (Warriors Night Out and Dances).

Upcoming Washington, D.C. Trip

There are still PLENTY of spots available! Please join us - Spring Break...2021.

DC/ NY/ Colonial Williamsburg trip will be having a second interest meeting on February 25th, at 6 pm in Room 5. First part of the meeting will be to discuss upcoming fund-raising. Last part will be for anyone who missed the first meeting and wants info.

Winter Sports/Upcoming Spring Sports

Just a friendly reminder, in order to participate in sports practice, your student must have a current physical and code of conduct form on file at the office.

7th/8th Grade Boys Basketball: The season will end Wednesday, February 26th with a home game! Come out and support our athletes.

Amity Warriors Trap Team: This sport is for any Amity student, grades 6-12. Registration starts Monday, February 3rd. A sign up sheet will be at the Middle School office. Required practices/competitions will be Fridays 1-3pm at Mid-Valley Clays and Shooting School in Gervais. Athletes must complete the online SAFE training and a required field day at the gun club to begin the practice week on April 3rd. They are also required to have the district code of conduct and physical on file at the school.

Leadership News

Leadership will be holding their annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser during the month of February. All money raised goes back to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is a class friendly competition, the class that raises the most money will receive an Olive Garden lunch! The second highest class will receive a Root Beer float party and the third highest will receive a popcorn party. Help us raise money for many children and adults fighting cancer!

Leadership will be selling Valograms during the lunch hour. Grams will also be available to grab at the front office for purchase. Cost of the grams will be $0.50 for one or $1 for 3. You can start purchasing them on Monday, February 3rd- Wednesday, February 12th. Grab them while you can! Delivery of Valograms will be on Thursday, February 13th.

Warriors Night Out will be on Thursday, February 13th from 3:30-5:15pm. This year our Leadership kids themed our WNO as Neon! Come wearing your bright neon colors, ready to have some fun and enjoy time as a student body!

Warriors Serve

Continue looking for the Warriors Serve mobile store at home boys basketball games!

During the month of February, Warriors Serve will be working on no-sew fleece blankets in preparation for a visit to Hillside Manor in McMinnville. Our group is planning a visit in March, where we will host an exciting afternoon of Bingo and prizes. If you are interested in being a part of our project by donating small gift items to include in our Bingo prizes, please contact Mrs. Matocha at mary.matocha@amity.k12.or.us.
