ENT Away 3.22

New away kit in classic navy for England National Team

With a traditional navy blue design & a futuristic take on the Three Lions, Nike introduces a new away kit for the England team that unites modern detailing with a clean, classic head-to-toe look

On Monday 3.20, we exclusively revealed the England Away Kit with a feature on M.Rashford in media outlet Players Tribune

Later, M.Rashford & England Football Federation posted on their IG channel. Additional features on E.Dier and J.Henderson IG channels also appeared this week.

The product will go live on Nike.com on Wednesday 3.22 ahead of the Germany vs. England game. In the interim period, the UK team will display a coming soon message that will link through the England product wall.


Tiempo Derby Day Pack 3.15

The Tiempo Derby Day Pack was launched last week on 3.15

This was a ProDirect exclusive for the UK team. Given that Team is a key strategic priority for them with ProDirect, they presented the boots as part of a full team-wear offering to help commercialise the story.

The launch was driven through our CS partners social networks channels.

Nike Football unveils boots inspired inspired by Air Max icons

In celebration of Air Max Day, we have created football boots in special colorways inspired by Air Max icons

The boots are available on 3.20 in cleated & NikeFootballX versions on Nike.com, and will be worn by professional players on pitch this week

The pack includes four boots inspired by the four iconic Air Max silhouettes: Air Max 90 (Mercurial), Air Max 95 (Hypervenom), Air Max 97 (Magista) and Air Max 1 (Tiempo)

Nike.com & CS partners have started communicate on the exclusive pack on social networks and websites.


In the UK, in addition to the Nike UK Twitter post, athletes Walker & Smalling posted on their own channels, showcasing the boots that they will be wearing on pitch this coming weekend

And in Italy, the 2 players F.Bernardeschi and L.Bonucci did the same by following the Air Max creative brief featuring the boots.

Alexia (FCB) & Amanda (ATM) – Fútbol Emotion

On 3.15, Fútbol Emotion has done for the first time a live broadcast of "Questions & Answers" with the 2 athletes Alexia Putellas (FCB) & Amanda Sampedro (ATM) in a Barcelona store in front of a live audience (primarily girls football clubs from Catalunya)

They principal objective was to connect women's football to local women artists to extend performance into local culture.

ProDirect Academy x Nike

Last week, the UK team announced that Nike will replace Adidas (-"what brand is that sorry...?") as the official kit partner to the ProDirect Academy as of season 17/18

ProDirect have ambitious growth plans for the Academy and are budgeting for a reach of 27,000 players per year by 2020

Not only is this is a fantastic business driver for Team but it also means that we’ll own one of PD’s key pillars to their brand eco-system & connection points to the consumer - it is currently a key vehicle in which Adidas (-"um...never heard of it,really...") use to fuel the Tango Squad.

Unisport x Nike Academy

Last week, our ws.com partner Unisport visited 17-year old Swedish player & Nike Academy graduate Pontus Almqvist at his new club IFK Norrköping


From small, skinny, talented amateur to full-time pro footballer in just 2 years; they captured the next part of his story in a WebTV Episode (75k views & 5k likes in 3 days)

The video, which looks at his life as a pro and reflects on his journey with Nike Football, delivers a strong message about the NE team commitment to enablement and generated positive sentiment amongst FOTs (see comments in pictures below).


This episode is a follow-up of the 4-part documentary series following the path of Pontus from Most Wanted open trials in Stockholm in 2015, through to the Northern Europe Finals and Global Showcase, to his life at the Nike Academy in 2016

Nike Academy game

The Nike Academy faced tough opposition last week, traveling to Hartlepool United, whose squad featured a number of first team regulars. Goals from Myer Bevan (New Zealand) and Siriki Dembele (UK) were not enough, as the away team suffered a 4-2 defeat

Training will be focused on defensive unit work next week ahead of the Academy’s away fixture against Manchester United’s U19 squad.
