Hello UNT Non-Trads!

You are all doing a great job persevering! Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, you have endured many obstacles. Nonetheless, we hope you are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel for the Spring 2021 semester and the pandemic. UNT is doing everything they can to ensure you have as safe an experience as possible given the circumstances. We are slowly converting some of our less risky events back to a live format and have resources ready such as COVID testing and vaccine information. As we near the final stretch of the Spring 2021 semester, we still have a lot in store so continue so stay tuned!

UNT Health Alerts

UNT is taking measures to support students in every way possible during the COVID-19 pandemic. If you ever have any questions or concerns related to COVID, including what to do if you think you have symptoms or been in contact with someone who tested positive, please refer to the UNT Health Alerts site or contact the UNT COVID Hotline at 844-366-5892.

Mandatory COVID-19 Testing for UNT On-Campus Events

Effective March 3, 2021, UNT students must have a negative COVID-19 test result on file no sooner than 7 days and no later than 72 hours before the time of the on-campus event. Student may also show a positive COVID-19 test result that is no older than 90 days. The test results must be from a test located on campus with the exception of the Union Garage. UNT faculty, staff, and students can get a FREE on-campus COVID-19 test through Curative, Inc. Visit the UNT Health Alerts Site for more information.

For general COVID testing information, visit gogettested.com. There is a testing site located at the UNT Union Garage, among many other places in Denton County and beyond.

Graduate Student Appreciation Week (April 4-9)

We would like to acknowledge our Mean Green Graduate Students during our celebration of Graduate Student Appreciation Week April 4th through April 9th! Graduate students work very hard, often negotiating class requirements, research requirements and projects, employment, assistantships, internships, being parents, and so much more. To celebrate our Graduate Students, Off-Campus Student Services, Toulouse Graduate School, and the Graduate Student Council will have events and activities dedicated to Graduate Students. If you are a Grad Student, celebrate! If you know a Grad Student, show them your appreciation!

Congrats to the Mean Green Men's Basketball Team!

On March 19, 2021, the UNT Men's Basketball team won their first NCAA tournament game in history when they defeated Purdue University. While the Mean Green fell in the second round to a strong Villanova team, we would like to congratulate our basketball team on a very successful season and for making history!

The virtual housing fair a good way to learn about local housing and resources, but you can also win prizes for participating! Graduate Student Appreciation Week: April 5-9

Join the Toulouse Graduate School, Off-Campus Student Services, and Graduate Student Council in recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of graduate students to UNT during Graduate Student Appreciation. Week April 5-9 (Monday-Friday). The activities will be in different locations across the UNT campus and online.

Graduate & Non-Traditional Student Happy Hour!

The Spring 2021 Coffee & Convos program is here! Coffee & Convos is designed to help students build a relationship with their professor in conversations outside the classroom regarding academic, research, or career matters. The Big Event | April 8 | 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

This year’s Big Event will be held on-campus, where students will be working with three local Denton community partners, Keep Denton Beautiful, Explorium Denton Children's Museum, and The Salvation Army of North Texas. Students will have the unique opportunity to select which organization they would like to work with for the day! Vaccine Registration Portal for UNT Community Members

Vaccine registration is currently open to any UNT Denton campus students (including student enrolled exclusively at UNT Frisco), faculty and staff, and UNT System employees who meet current state eligibility requirements for COVID-19 vaccinations. Effective Monday, March 29, 2021, all people ages 18 and older are eligible for vaccines. For the Pfizer vaccine, adults are identified as 16 years or older while other approved vaccines classify adults as 18 years or older. For more information visit COVID-19 Vaccine Information

UNT Perk of the Month

The Nasher Sculpture Center is a museum in Dallas houses the Patsy and Raymond Nasher collection of modern and contemporary sculptures. Student tickets are $5.00 with a valid student ID at the gate. For more information about the museum visit nashersculpturecenter.org.
