Research shows that women have been known to achieve greater results in their education than men, this difference in results in noticeable at a young age as girls often receive higher grades than boys in primary school and high school.

More girls than boys have been recorded to receive their high school diploma within the expected timeframe and girls have been proven to be less likely to drop out of school. More women have enrolled in college and university programs than men after they have complete their high school education. A larger percentage of women complete these programs with diplomas or degrees.
