Puerto Rican crested toad

The Puerto Rican crested toad is critically endangered and the only native toad of Puerto Rico. Teachers and zoo officials traveled to Puerto Rico in search of toads and reintroduction sites. The staff set up an automated recording system to observe the toads at night. The zoo staff has helped reintroduce the Puerto Rican crested toad to its native habitat.
