SUMMER CAMPS 2019 FLORIDA FILM ACADEMY

Ten Years of Summer at Florida Film Academy

2010 - 2019

We were traveling the world producing episodes for a landmark documentary series for National Geographic when a local school called up and asked if we could run a film club for their students. We're passionate about helping young and under represented filmmakers, so of course our answer was YES!

It started as a weekly meet up for a small group of enthusiastic young filmmakers. Before we knew it more and more students lined up to join. Meet ups became more frequent with weekend shoots and in 2010 we opened our very first Summer programs.

Today we welcome hundreds of students every year through our backlot studio in Winter Garden, our Campus in St Augustine and our Summer Programs both in the USA and Overseas.

We've come a long way since those early days but our mission and philosophy remains the same: To inspire young people to become strong, confident individuals through the development and application of creative thinking.

And just like our kids, we're constantly developing new ideas and outlets to bring our story to life. More ways to offer our students opportunity, education and experience. We change our Summer Program every year and add new and exciting programs to the line up.

Join us as we celebrate TEN years of SUMMER!

Let's start with a few details...

All camps are open to students aged 7-12 and 13-18 unless otherwise noted on the camp slide. We also have a NEW camp for our 5-7 year olds, CAMP CREATE.

In our Movie Making Camps students are broken into small groups according to age and experience, with around 6-7 campers per instructor. Specialist camps such as Animation, Movie Make Up, Prosthetics, Acting and YouTube have limited numbers per week.

Camp starts at 9am and ends at 5pm (except Camp Create). Early and late drop off can be arranged.

You do not have to bring any equipment, we provide everything.

Students bring their own packed lunch each day. Snacks and drinks are available for sale at our concession stand. Please note we do not have a fridge or microwaves available for lunches.

That's about it folks! But seriously if you do have additional questions, just e-mail stefanie@flfilmacademy.com or call 407 654 8400

Is this your first Florida Film Academy Summer Camp?

That's OK!

Many of our campers are first time students. Whether you're trying your hand at filmmaking, animation, acting or any of our amazing camps, we'll teach you everything you need to know.

And if you're already an ACE at this creative thing, we have different groups according to age and experience.

Let the fun begin!

We have TWENTY TWO camps to choose from, so to make things a little easier, we've broken them down by date.
