Galileo was a very talented astronomer. He was born in February 15, 1564, Pisa, Italy and he died on January 8, 1642. While Galileo was alive, he created one of his most famous and well known invention, the telescope. Galileo made the first telescope in 1609 and later that year he created a new, improved and upgraded telescope. The telescope was made of lenses, or refract light. They featured a concave eyepiece lens and a convex objective lens. The telescope was made to discover items in space or in a far away distance. The telescope was fairly easy, yet difficult to make. That's why Galileo was so famous for his discovery of the telescope.
