How are Auroras made?

Auroras are caused by a crash inbetween fast moving electrons. These electrons come from the part of space controlled by earths magnetic force. When they finally return to their original state they release photons with small bursts as of color.

Where can you see auroras?

CANADA
SCANDINAVIA
ALASKA
WHAT COLORS CAN IT BE?
It depends on the gas that is being excited by the electrons and on how much energy is being exchanged. They are most often green. If the oxygen is 60 miles up then it is green and yellow and if the oxygen is 200 miles up it is red.
HISTORY
In 1619 AD Galileo Galilei coined the term "aurora borealis" after Aurora the roman goddess of morning.
FUN FACTS!!!
-They are visible from space. -Auroras may look hot like fire but actually they are very cold. -The Greeks call Aurora borealis dancing stars.
