Welcome to the Long Pine Creek Watershed Improvement Project (LPCWIP) website! Our goal is to keep landowners and stakeholders involved in the planning process.

We are in the alternatives analysis phase of the project to determine locations and reaches as well as potential solutions.

This project will likely focus on stream restoration by way of grade and bank stabilization and irrigation water management to reduce sediment transport, improve water quality, protect human health and safety, improve habitat, and protect infrastructure.

This project is funded by USDA-NRCS and must follow all applicable federal laws, like the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Environmental, social, and economic factors will all be considered when looking at alternatives.

This includes things like threatened and endangered species, landowner and stakeholder preferred alternatives, cultural resources, human safety, and monetary costs.
