Travel with Erin 2018!!! Bohemian Dream

Join me for an amazing adventure April 26- May 6, 2018

Things to know:

This area of Europe is beautiful!! Medieval castles, history, bath houses where you can spa, great food, beer and wine.

This is a much slower paced trip compared to the 2016 trip. On a scale of 1-4 with 4 being the most active we are at a level 2 for the Bohemian Dream.

My Vegan and Vegetarian friends, plenty of vegan dining options in every city!!

I have started with the booking the whole coach for just our group. I am hopeful that we can get at least 30 people so we can keep the bus to ourselves. If we do this, we can adjust the schedule to our needs. If we do not fill the seats, no worries we will just enjoy the trip as Globus has it planned.

Rates- Globus anticipates the rates to be $2109 per person in 2018. We get a 10% discount making the total $1899 for the tour portion. Journeys members receive an additional 5% off of that rate. If the 2018 rates come in less when they publish their brochure, I will have the rates adjusted for everyone. I am also asking everyone to fly for 1 pre-night in Budapest. The rate for the extra pre-night is $82 per person plus the cost of transportation to the hotel $25 each. I will discuss this with each of you later as a private car may be the better way to go it is almost the same price and way more convenient. I will work on this detail and have more information once we get further into the summer.

Deposits- $250 deposit per person. Airfare will be out in June, I will start a calling you after June 19th for the airfare deposit of $300.

Final payment for the trip would be due February 20, 2018. A payment plan can be made for you if that is easier than paying the final balance all at once in February.

Airfare- it is and additional cost and not possible to tell what the prices will be. We need to fly into Budapest and out of Prague. I would anticipate airfare being $1050-$1450 per person. I am hopeful for the lesser since we are traveling off season but please be prepared for all scenarios to include airfare being higher. The deposit for airfare will be $300, the remaining will be rolled into your final payment. If you have points and want to book air on your own, you may certainly do so.

Roommates- when you place your deposit and fill out the booking form, I will need you to tell me who your roommate will be. You will need to have a discussion with them because if they back out you will now have an increased single occupancy charge of $500 if you travel as a single. If you both buy the cancel for any reason insurance this will not happen, you will be price protected but you both must buy the plan.

Anyone that has traveled with Globus in the last 5 years, you can save an extra 5% off!!! Please sign up here When you have your journeys club number I can apply the 5% off of the tour portion.

Insurance- always highly recommend as life happens!! This will cover you for medical, missed connections, trip delays and more. The cancel for any reason through Globus is $229 each. Refunds would be in the form of a voucher for future travel, cash back or mix of both depending on when you cancel. It will also price protect you if your roommate cancel but both of you must purchase the plan.

I hope you can all join in on this amazing fun journey!!

Itinerary: These dates are tentative!! Globus and I have tried to get the dates line up correctly but the brochure, contracts and dates are not officially set so please know that the dates can shift a little, the offered excursions, hotels and inclusions could also vary but most likely will stay the same from what I have been told.

Friday April 27th Welcome to Budapest

Interested in an extension to Berlin, Germany anyone? There is an option to add on a 3 night luxury stay in Berlin at the end of the main tour. This must be done on the last day of the tour and in lieu of any extra nights in Prague. Sorry they can not be combined. This trip is done through Monograms, the independent version of the Globus brand. You would have a concierge to take you to and from the train station, your train ticket to Berlin, a half of a day of sightseeing and a concierge to help you plan the rest of your stay, which will be in a beautiful hotel. ( most likely be the Sofitel Berlin Kurfuerstendamm).

  • May 8th day at leisure. Your Local Host will have many suggestions for your day at leisure.
  • May 9th – return to the US.

Accommodations for the trip tour and extension. They look nice! These are the contracted hotels for 2016 and 2017, there could always be a change for 2018 but they only have one hotel in each city so far- so let’s hope they just continue it that way for 2018. Free Wi-Fi available on your motor coach ( as we have leaned Wi-Fi on the coach can be spotty at best) Wi-Fi will be available in most hotel lobbies and some hotel rooms.

Please remember that the rates are locked in for the tour so they will not go up. However, if the brochure comes out and the rates are less I will make sure everyone gets that savings as well.

Everything is based on a first come. Pre-and post-nights will also be based on availability and need to be requested when you book.

This trip is open to anyone that wants to join in, you can bring your friends or family members!!

Please keep in mind that we are booking early so we need to be flexible and know that the dates may shift a little, the itinerary will be close but again things can change before the brochure and contracts are made for 2018. What I know for sure is that it will be an amazing experience, we will see some beautiful and historic places in Eastern Europe.

Please let me know if you have any questions. If you would like to join in please ask me to send you an electronic booking form.

I hope to see all of you on the 2018 Bohemian Dream!!!
