Mae’n bleser gennym wahodd Huw Stephens (DJ/cyflwynydd: BBC Radio 1, 6Music, BBC Radio Cymru, Anorac a chyd-sylfaenydd Gŵyl Sŵn a’r Wobr Cerddoriaeth Gymreig) yn ôl i’r castell eleni i guradu noson o gerddoriaeth Gymreig wych, a digwyddiad hollol anhygoel!

We’re delighted to invite Huw Stephens (DJ/presenter: BBC Radio 1, 6Music, BBC Radio Cymru, Anorac and co-founder of the Sŵn Festival and Welsh Music Prize) back to the castle this year to curate an evening of fantastic Welsh music, and it’s an absolute belter!

Yn arwain y noson, cewch gyfle prin i weld Late Night Pop Dungeon Charlotte Church, set o ganeuon aml-arddull sy’n fersiynau ar y gwreiddiol, wedi eu perfformio gan fand cefnogi eang (a nodedig), gyda’r feistres Charlotte Church, yn arwain y cwbl gyda pherffeithrwydd.

Headlining the night, a rare chance to see Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon, a genre-hopping covers set performed live by an expansive (and impressive) backing band fronted, to perfection, by mistress Charlotte Church.

Yn ymuno â’r act arweiniol ar gyfer y noson, mae gennym nid un, ond dau o’r bandiau newydd gorau; Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard ac Adwaith.

Joining the headliners for the evening we have not one, but two of the hottest new bands around; Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard and Adwaith.

Mae Pop Dungeons y gorffennol wedi cynnwys David Bowie, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Prince, En Vogue, Rage Against The Machine, Missy Elliott a Black Sabbath a’u tebyg i gyd wedi asio ynghyd i greu noson o fawredd pop deniadol tu hwnt; noson fydd yn gadael y gynulleidfa’n unedig, yn orfoleddus, ac wedi dawnsio hyd nes bod eu traed yn brifo! Yn ei geiriau hi ei hun, ‘It’s full of love; like a massive party with a really warm hug at the end’.

Past Pop Dungeons have seen the likes of David Bowie, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Prince, En Vogue, Rage Against The Machine, Missy Elliott and Black Sabbath spliced together into an irresistible evening of pop majesty; a night that promises to leave audiences united, euphoric, and thoroughly danced out! In her own words ‘It’s full of love; like a massive party with a really warm hug at the end’.

Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard

Mae Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard yn fand pedwar aelod o Gaerdydd sy’n aml yn perfformio sioeau yn y ddinas lle gwerthwyd pob tocyn, ac sydd wedi teithio a denu adolygiadau hynod frwd o bob man maen nhw’n chwarae. Mae eu setiau yn wyllt ac yn egnïol, yn sianeli ysbrydion roc a rôl y gorffennol, ond yn cynnig golwg ffres ar y model roc clasurol. Tra’n gwisgo denim.

Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard are a 4-piece from Cardiff who regularly sell-out shows in the city, and have toured to ecstatic reviews everywhere they play. Their live sets are wild and energetic, channelling the ghosts of rock and roll past, but offering a fresh take on the classic rock model. While dressed in denim.

Adwaith

Mae Adwaith yn fand ôl-pync arbrofol wedi ei ffurfio o 3 aelod hynod ddawnus o Gaerfyrddin. Mae James Dean Bradfield o’r Manic Street Preachers wedi ail-gymysgu eu gwaith, maen nhw wedi teithio gyda Joy Formidable a Gwenno, ac roedd eu halbwm début, Melyn, yn fawr ei glod gan y beirniaid. Yn go gyflym, maen nhw’n troi’r arwyr cwlt.

Adwaith are a ludicrously talented 3-piece experimental post punk band from Carmarthen. They have been remixed by James Dean Bradfield from Manic Street Preachers, toured with The Joy Formidable and Gwenno, and critically acclaimed for their debut album Melyn. They are fast becoming cult heroes.

The concept and execution border on genius - Manchester Evening News
The Pop Dungeon is very simply just a huge amount of fun, like the best wedding band you’ve ever heard - The Quietus

Mae’n amser am Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Dewch i ni ROCIO!

Its time for Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Lets ROCK!

'Well THAT’S fun to listen to!' meddai’r chwedlonol Iggy Pop pan agorodd ei sioe 6Music gyda sengl afaelgar Double Denim Hop y band.

'Well THAT’S fun to listen to!' said the legendary Iggy Pop when he opened his 6Music show with the bands infectious single Double Denim Hop.

Y band newydd mwyaf cyffrous ar y sîn yng Nghaerdydd, maen nhw mor dda maen nhw wedi enwi eu hunain dair gwaith.

The most exciting new band on the Cardiff music scene, they are so good they named themselves three times.

Adwaith win hands down as the coolest new band from Wales; they are new, fresh, young female musical talent, that's why I'm so excited - Bethan Elfyn (BBC Radio Wales).

Mae Adwaith yn debyg i’r ‘Welsh Slits’ yn chwarae caneuon Johnny Cash wedi’u gosod yng nghyd-destun ôl-pync dinesig Ewropeaidd. Fel caneuon Buddy Holly, y Pixies a Velvet Underground mae cerddoriaeth Adwaith yn arwain y ffordd fel yr oedd Datblygu o’i blaen, Dyma gerddoriaeth ddigyfaddawd, sy’n torri calon mewn llai na thri munud; dyma ddyfodol Cymru yn syth o’n blaenau” (Trwy garedigrwydd Decidedly Records)

Adwaith are like the Welsh Slits playing Johnny Cash songs all set in a distinctively European post-punk urban setting. Trailblazing like pioneering Welsh artist such as Datblygu before them, Adwaith's music is Buddy Holly, the Pixies, The Velvet Underground, uncompromising heartbreak in under three minutes - this is the future of Welsh music right in front of us (courtesy of Decidedly Records).
