He had a normal childhood for the most part. However as he got older, he became more withdrawn and uncommunicative. He showed little to no interest in hobbies or social activities during the ages of 10-15.

During high school he became fascinated by dead animals and started to drink heavily. Because of his addiction he was kicked out of the navy and a hospital when he moved to Florida.

His behavior became more strange when he moved in with his Grandmother. She would find strange objects such as a gun and a mannequin in his room. His fascination with dead animals only got worse. He dissected dead squirrels in the basement and then would dissolve them in acid.

How he passed his time by killing people

Because of his strange behavior, his grandmother asked him to get out. He found a new apartment that was close to his job at the chocolate factory. He later got arrested for drugging and sexually assaulting a 13 year old. His first murder was at the age of 18 years old. He picked up a hitchhiker, Steven Hicks, and took him to his house. When Hicks went to leave, Dahmer hit him in head with a dumbbell. Then buried him in the backyard. He admitted to it.

Nine years later, he struck again. He killed a male that he met at a bar. He would kill sporadically. He usually picked up his victims from gay bars and had intercourse with them before killing them. When he was caught, he had seven skulls from his victims.

Between 1990 and 1991, he killed 7 people. He drugged a boy that was discovered walking the streets and said the boy was his boyfriend. He later killed him and kept his skull.

How he passed his time (Continued)

By the summer of 1991, he started killing about one person a week. He had the idea that he could create zombies out of his victims that would be his submissive youthful sexual partners. He would experiment on them using hydrochloric acid or boiling water that would be injected into their brains. He wasn't picky about who he killed. The cops were called because of the smell and noises people would hear from his apartment.

On the day of his arrest, he tried to lure another male into his apartment. The boy managed to escape and flagged down a police car. The boy told him everything he saw and how Dahmer had pulled a knife on him.

How I would've solved the crimes

In 1991, when the boy was found drugged and wandering the streets, I would've ran a background check on Dahmer when the boy said he didn't know him. I also would've kept tabs on Dahmer and tried to keep up with the missing people. Or you know, I would've reported the smell and noises earlier.

Applying info learned

Taking what I learned from this is a little rough. I've learned that the police don't always do their job like how they're supposed to. I would've kept up with him and ran a background check on him when the kid was found.

In conclusion, Jeffrey Dahmer was a fu**** up person and should've been caught sooner. He killed at least 17 people. But he got what he deserved when he was killed in prison.
