Volleyball

The Middle school team ended an exciting season this past Saturday after they won the 1st round in the County Tournament against West Point but fell to Fairview in the second round. This year 2 athletes, Emelia Chairanda and Mattie Wix, were recognized as members of the All-County team. This team will truly miss the following 8th grade leaders of the team who will be moving up the the JV team next year Emelia Chairanda, Natalie Scott, and Katie Williams. The JV team is continuing to have an exciting season this year. Congratulations to them for winning the invitational tournament this past Saturday! Middle school members on this team include: Ivey Maddox, Charly Johnson, and Emma Bailey.

Football

Currently, the team is 3-2 this season. We still have a chance to be in the Championship game. The Raiders need to win against West Point next week, then we could win the coin toss to make it to the Championship game. There are two final regular season games left to play including West Point at home on Oct 10th and at Holly Pond on Oct 14th. If the Raiders make it to the County Championship it will be played on Oct 21st and the location is TBA.

Cross- Country

Cross-Country season is underway. Middle school members of the team include: Dylan Butts, Taylor Patterson, Montana Trammell, Mary Self, and Brodie Moore. They will be competing in the following meets throughout the month of October: Hay of a Run Meet on October 8th at Fairview High School, St Bernard on October 19th, and the Cullman County Meet on October 24th.

Marching Band

The marching band is doing a phenomenal job this season. They really showed out at the Cullman County Fair Parade followed by the Cullman County Band Expedition this past Saturday. Come out on Friday nights and upcoming band events to show your support for our Good Hope Raider Marching Band!

Cheer Team

The cheerleaders are doing a fantastic job this year! They did an awesome job leading our student body in a Middle School pep-rally during Homecoming week. Keep up the good work and keep us all cheering for our favorite athletic teams.

Faculty/Staff Highlight

Meet the Teach: Mrs. Pamela Yates

6th Grade Reading Teacher

I am excited to be a member of the Raider team and feel very fortunate to be a part of such a dynamic, dedicated staff. I have 16 years teaching experience. I received my Masters from Ball State University in Indiana, my home state. I am a State of Florida Golden Apple Teacher of Distinction and received the Hartselle Intermediate School's "Making a Difference" award as well. When I am not reading, I enjoy running, hiking the AT and cheering on our Good Hope Cross Country team. Go Raiders!! (Pictured above is Mrs. Yates, one of Mrs. Yates' 6th grade Reading classes, and books that were recently added to her classroom library.)
