Women's March Alex Gould, Jason White, Sydney Radinsky

Before the march started, the crowd gathered to listen to music, speeches and talk to those at tables, such as former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes.

Not long after the event began at 10 a.m., anti-abortion activists began to show up and argue with pro-abortion rights groups.

Anti-abortion activists and pro-abortion rights activists lined up across the street from one another and began to chant and heckle. Members of the Arizona Department of Public Safety and the Phoenix Police Department's Community Response Unit stood either in the crowd or just outside of it to ensure no physical altercations broke out.

Around 11 am, the crowd, began to march around the Arizona State Capitol building. As the front of the group was rounding the last corner, the back of the march could be seen through a walkway on the other side of the complex.

The crowd marched around the State Capitol complex while holding signs and banners calling for abortion rights. Some cars that passed by honked to show support for those marching.

Speeches were given before and after the march.

As members of the crowd listened to speeches, most held signs and chanted along with the speakers.
