Government Affairs Manager

North Dakota Petroleum Council

Brady Pelton currently serves as the Government Affairs Manager for the North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC), a position he has held since September 2017. In this role, he advocates for the NDPC on key issues and their impact on the oil and gas industry on the state, county, local, and tribal levels.

Hailing from a farm and ranch near Killdeer, ND, Pelton is no stranger to the oil and gas industry. Apart from his personal experience living amidst oil and gas activity, he also served as the deputy executive director of the North Dakota Association of Oil and Gas Producing Counties (today the Western Dakota Energy Association) for three years, where he acted as the organization's lead lobbyist and represented the interests of western North Dakota's counties, cities, and school districts.

Pelton holds bachelor's degrees in political science and public administration from the University of North Dakota and earned his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law, where he graduated with honors in May 2017.
