6 reasons why the Denver Broncos Won Super Bowl 50By: Joseph Geving
1. No fly Zone Defense:
The Denver Broncos Defense last year was historic. Game after game they came up clutch to seal the game and take the win. Last year they were ranked 1st in the league is pass defense, and 5th in the league in total defense. Key players such as Chris Harris, Aqib Talib, Tj Ward, and Bradley Roby helped lead the Broncos Defense to their success last year.
2. Brock Osweiler
Brock Osweiler is the reason Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50. After Peyton Manning got injured in week 10, Brock Osweiler took over and led them to a winning record during the next 7 weeks, including a key 30-24 overtime win against against the Patriots which helped us later clinch the number one seed in the AFC.
3. Gary Kubiak
After three years of John Fox as the Broncos' Head Coach, John Elway decided to part ways with John Fox and hire former Broncos quarterback and offensive coordinator, and former Texans Head Coach Gary Kubiak as their next head coach.
4. Peyton Manning
Peyton Manning is a big reason why the Denver Broncos won the super bowl last year. Although he didn't have the best stats to back up the Broncos success, his leadership is exactly what the broncos needed. After injuring his foot in week 10, he worked really hard for 7 weeks and came back in week 17, and with his many years of Superbowl experience, he led the broncos to a Super Bowl 50 win.
5. Von Miller
Von Miller, the Super Bowl 50 MVP, played a key role in the Denver Broncos winning the superbowl. All season long, and especially during the playoff stretch Miller played a very important role on defense. Whether it was sacking the qb, making key 3rd down stops, or causing a fumble, Von Miller was a beast.
6. John Elway
Finally, John Elway. The second he took over as the Denver Broncos Gm, he made it his goal to bring a super bowl to Denver. Weather it signing Peyton Manning, drafting tremendous players, or building a historic defense, John Elway sure did his job as GM.
