About Christianity

Christians read a holy book named The Bible.
This is what Christians call "Praying." Praying is like talking to Jesus Christ. You can pray to him for many reasons. You can pray that he heals you or a love one, you pray that you watches over you at night, you pray that he makes your like better,etc.
This is the pope and he is the Bishop of Rome.

Christianity started back in 30 ad. by Jesus Christ or apostle Paul. Christianity has 2.2 billion followers which is the biggest religion. The name of the deity is God or Abba which means father. There are a lot of leaders in a church such as a pastor who is a minister in charge of a Christian church or congregation.

On April 16 we celebrate Jesus Christ's resurrection. On this day Jesus rose from the dead.
This is the god Christian worship. He goes by the name of Jesus.
This is where Christians go to worship Jesus Christ on Wednesday and Sundays. On Wednesday you do bible study which is where you study the bible. On Sunday it is a service of worship. Usually it is held on Sunday from 9 am - 11 am.
This is a sanctuary in the church. This is where all the worship happens. You could also have weddings and funerals here. The preacher get in front of the church every Sunday to give out God's word.
This is a collection plate or offering plate this is a plate that goes around every Sunday at church. A collection plate is a plate for collecting offering from members of a church congregation. You can put coins, money, or checks.
These are some of the basic beliefs of Christianity. There are more beliefs than this.

  • Worship God ONLY !
  • Use God's name with respect
  • Remember God's Sabbath
  • Respect you parents
  • Do not hurt other people
  • Be faithful in marriage
  • Do not steal
  • Do not lie
  • Do not be envious of others
