Join 2nd District Planning Council for coffee and conversation every 3rd Saturday of the month. Get to know your neighbors, troubleshoot concerns, and share your ideas to make this a better community. This is a free of charge event. Meet at 394 Concord Avenue.


OBV is organizing a brand new Village Market this summer to be held in Brandywine Mills Plaza across for the Dollar General Store. The Market will be open once a week on Wednesdays from 4-7pm, from the first week in June to the last week in August.

The Market will provide an outlet for three local community gardens and help provide healthy fresh produce to our residents. A beer garden offering craft beer will be provided by Wilmington Brew Works. Other vendors will offer arts and crafts and food stuffs. The market will also have live entertainment and food trucks. If you are interested in volunteering or being a vendor, please contact Beverly Zimmerman at bevzimm@comcast.net

Brandywine Partners Meeting: April 12, 2018

At the April 12 meeting, a novel idea of future economic development in Old Brandywine Village will lead the agenda. Irene Shadoan Lott, who lives with her husband, Hunter, on the Brandywine — has delved into the extraordinary history of the mills that originally prospered along the Brandywine and "How these very mills Can once again Spark Economic Development Today".
