Mrs. Talbot's Weekly Update Week of: December 5-9

What we are learning

Math: Students will learn about polygons, angles, vertices, and edges. They will also focus on special quadrilaterals, 2D and 3D shapes, area, and perimeter.

Writing: Students will complete a K.W.O. on the passage The Fox and the Grapes independently. They will be graded on their K.W.O.

Grammar: The focus will be on singular and plural nouns.

Reading: We will continue our study of Christmas Around the World. The students are enjoying learning about different traditions and foods.

Fundations: We will finish Unit 5 this week; the schwa sound. Please have your child review the Fundations' packet that was sent home.

IMPORTANT Dates:

December 7th: Early Dismissal; 11:30

December 13th: Winter Concert; 9:30 and 1:30

December 13th: Parents, please take home your child's gingerbread house

December 21st: Early Dismissal; 2:00

December 22nd - January 2nd: Winter Break

January 3rd: School Resumes

January 6th: December Read Noe Calendars are due.
