Desert View's Elva Autry, and Home Liaison Veronica Rojas pose with the Board as they were recognized for their work in winning a Braden Aboud Foundation grant that resulted in all students who qualified receiving a new pair of athletic shoes. Students who qualified completed the Seven Pillars of character building program.
Santa Teresa High DECA, TSA and BPA students who qualified for national competition were recognized by the Board along with their club sponsors. Ralph Gallegos, Executive Director, Construction, displays the building plans for the new Chaparral High gymnasium prior to the Board approving the base bid and bid lot 1 for a total of $4.7 million. The bid included the plans for a vestibule on the north side of the gym that will keep sand from blowing directly into the gym.
