Past: The Industial Revolution.

Causes:

Cause #1:

One reason was the agricultural revolution. New inventions were being made for faster transportation and production.

Cause #2:

The population explosion was another reason. It was caused by declining death rate.

Cause #3:

The enclosure movement is a third reason. It caused peasants to be searching for jobs once they were kicked off the land they worked on.

Technological Developments:

Development #1:

Coal and iron were parts of the new technology.

Development #2:

The textile industry became big too. They came up with faster ways to produce textiles and workers moved to factories

Development #3:

Transportation became faster with steam boats and trains.

Positive effects on society:

Positive Effect #1:

Britain became wealthier with all of the improvements being made.

Positive Effect #2:

People became healthier with the increase of resources.

Positive Effect #3:

Transportation became faster with trains and steam boats.

Negative effects on society:

Negative Effect #1:

Coal minors and textile workers would often find themselves with distroyed lungs

Negative Effect #2:

Workers had to cope with sickness and slum tenements just to feed and cloth their kids.

Negative Effect #3:

Child labor was forced. They beat children accused of idling and they worked in harsh conditions.

Present: The Digital Revolution

Causes:

Cause #1:

One of the causes is the birth of the internet in 1969.

Cause #2:

Motorola's first mobile phone in 1973. Phones improved with time.

Cause #3:

The launch of IMB's first PC in 1981. Allowed people to access the internet, thus social media began.

Technological Developments:

Development #1:

Social media became huge, changing people's lives.

Development #2:

Phones quickly became more advanced, with internet access and never ending applications.

Development #3:

Apple produced lap tops taking the place of PCs. Making them easier to take around.

Positive Effects on Society:

Positive Effect #1:

With all of this everywhere we go, it increased social interaction. You can talk to people from anywhere in the world.

Positive Effect #2:

Online you can shop, socialize, learn, and enjoy your favorite music.

Positive Effect #3:

People who were surrounded by electronics growing up are found to communicate different. They use multi communication channels.

Negative effects:

Negative Effect #1:

People became less active due to technological advancements.

Negative Effect #2:

New vocabulary and emoticons were created that meant different things in different countries.

Negative Effect #3:

Some people aren't able to determine the real world and the virtual world.

FutuRe:

Causes:

Cause #1:

With the populations increasing in most cities, traffic has become a daily routine for some people.

Cause #2:

Our resources on Earth won't last forever and it's time to accept that.

Cause #3:

Ideas don't stop, inventions won't stop.

Technological Developments:

Development #1:

Flying Cars!!

Development #2:

Life on Mars started!

Development #3:

Phones become cooler and more advanced with holograms!

Positive effects on society:

Positive Effect #1:

With being able to live on mars; more/different resources.

Positive Effect #2:

With flying cars we could travel faster making it possible to travel the world.

Positive Effect #3:

Holograms can stop "catfishing" all over the world.

Negative Effects on Society:

Negative Effect #1:

We see what happens when a plane crashes. If a flying car crashed it'd be very deadly.

Negative Effect #2:

Mars might not have some resources. Life wouldn't be the same as on Earth.

Negative Effect #3:

With holograms in our phones, if we didn't think they were already expensive, they're going to be even more spendy.
