ABOUT PERU - Travel through history as you embark on this bucket-list journey to the Incan cities of Cusco, Machu Picchu and Lima. Nothing says, "Welcome to South America," like the vast lands of Peru. It is the site of many ancient Andean civilizations with the most famous landmark being Machu Picchu, an Incan citadel nestled high up in the mountains. In addition to vast rural life, the capital city of Lima is buzzing with activity. Looking over the Pacific Ocean, Lima has beaches, a mixture of colonial architecture, parks and many museums.

REPUBLIC OF ARGENTINA - Argentina is a unique blend of European and South American culture. This vast nation has a rich offering of cinema, theater, European architecture, literary bars, and most famously, the dance of the tango, just to name a few. Argentina is also known for its wine production and has vineyards all over the country to explore, with Mendoza being the capital of Malbec wine. This majestic natural marvel is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and though the weather can be harsh, the photos and memories you come out with will be legendary.

FEDERATIVE REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL - The beating heart of Latin America and home to the Amazon, Iguazu Falls and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil is the 5th largest country in the world and is a melting pot of cultures. Brazil is the only South American country to derive its official language from Portugal and is the largest Portuguese-speaking nation in the Americas. Brazil can be divided geographically with the Amazon river basin in the north and the Brazilian Highlands in the south. Rio de Janeiro is the home of samba dance, Ipanema and Copacabana beaches and above all the Cariocan natives of the city. And if the sounds are nature are preferable, then you should make sure to visit Brazil's beautiful beaches or vast swaths of rain forest. The nature here is unrivaled, and is home to a large percentage of the entire planet's biodiversity.

Is this an escorted tour? Yes, partially. This trip will include a tour guide on locations, who will take care of us throughout our vacation. We will travel by foot, plane, boat and motor coach to pre-selected sites, landmarks and destinations during our trip. That also means that morning departures will normally begin by 9:00AM on tour days, but occasionally there could be an early morning departure.

I want to relax on vacation. Can I do that on this tour? This group tour is a mix between sightseeing, cruising and being outdoors. So, if you love being active, meeting new people and seeing new things, then this will be a great trip for you. You will be able to enjoy relaxing "ME" time in the evenings when you return to the hotel, if you skip evening socializing activities with the group. If you want to relax on the beach in a resort-style vacation, there is definitely "down time" to relax on the beach for a few days at the end of our trip so you return home rejuvenated and refreshed, instead of being exhausted.

Can I do my own thing before and after the tour? Absolutely, you can! Our Social Group organizes travel for the group of women but it is by no means a 'must' to be with the group the entire trip. It is your vacation and you can choose to spend it as you like, as long as it does not inconvenience any of the other travel members. Our sisterhood of members travel together as friends, and we encourage you to be as free and independent as possible on your vacation. In the evenings, some of us may go out as a group for dinner, but if you have had enough 'group time' for the day, you can enjoy personal "Me" time to yourself. This is especially needed for people who are introverts and it is completely understood. You may even choose to sit out on parts of the group tour and link up again later if you like. Please note that you are liable for the cost of any alternative activities you choose to undertake during your leave and you will not receive a refund for any unused services or food.

How do I make a reservation? You may lock your spot 24/7 by clicking the link below to complete your reservation form online, on the phone, or in person at one of our Meetup.com Socials.

Are prices based on double occupancy? Yes, PUMPS & PASSPORTS™ vacation packages and retreats are always based on double occupancy; however, we do offer a Single Occupancy Supplement rate if you prefer a room to yourself. We do not offer triple or quad room accommodations.

Can you help me secure a roommate if I cannot find one? Yes, many women who sign up for our vacation packages and retreats come alone. PUMPS & PASSPORTS™ is happy to arrange a RoomShare Match upon request, but cannot guarantee one will always be available; neither does PUMPS & PASSPORTS™ guarantee compatibility.

I enjoy my personal space. Can I have a room to myself? Yes, the trip package rate is higher for a single occupancy room; however, it can be organized in most instances. Please look for the additional single supplement rate above in the trip package price area.

How do I pay for the trip and what form of payment do you accept? We have various payment options available including credit card, debit card, e-check, bank-to-bank money transfer and ACH; however, no cash, check or money order is ever accepted. An invoice will be emailed to you to pay your initial deposit and subsequent monthly payments. You will receive an updated Account Statement after each payment.

Should I insure my trip and how much does it cost? Proof of out-of-country medical insurance is required to travel with PUMPS & PASSPORTS™. Travel protection coverage is short term insurance intended to protect against “unexpected” travel-related expenses and emergencies, such as cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, evacuation, loss or delay. Travel insurance is highly recommended. You may receive a travel protection quote for your trip here: Travel Protection Quote

PUMPS & PASSPORTS™, a national women's Meetup group, supports and empowers women over 40 who desire to connect, engage, travel and explore the world.

Started in 2014, PUMPS & PASSPORTS™ was founded to answer the call of women around the country with a growing impulse for connection, as empty nesters realize that life does not end after the kids leave home. Women who join our Social Group are intent on making time for themselves to celebrate and live life to the fullest. Our Social Group's aim is to help women forge genuine friendships and unite in our desire and love to travel. What has developed is an opportunity to see the world in a community of sisterhood.
