1. In February 1945 the allied leaders met in a city in the Soviet Union.

2. The big three was Franklin D Roosevelt, Winston Churchhill, and Joseph Stalin. They came to Yalta to talk about Europe's future after the war.

3. President Roosevelt died suddenly on April 12, 1945.

4. Vice President Harry S. Truman took the place of President Roosevelt

5. The iron curtain is a symbolic division between East and West Germany during the Cold War.

6. Containment is the policy of holding back or stopping communism.

7. Airlift is delivery of supplies by air plane.

8. On June 24, 1948, the iron curtain was raised.

9. In May, 1949, Stalin had the wall come down.

10. A Cold War is a war without actual combat
